The BBI has a three person central team

  • Mr. Michael Hayes, (inventor, primary instigator behind this initiative, retired commercial fisherman and ex-medic); this Initiative is largely based on his similar submission (as a finalist) to the MIT CoLab.  This proposal places much more emphasis on the input resource.

  • Mr. Tom Miles (T R Miles, Technical Consultants, Inc.)  Owner and originator of four biochar websites, heads Finance Committee for IBI; also boards of USBI and IBI, will handle future BBI paperwork.

The following four are available to be consultants as their expertise is needed

  • Dr.  Paul Belanger (paleo climate and Biochar, manager of climate web site  - mostly for geologists )

  • Dr.  Robert Cohen (Headed the US national ocean energy program for many years at NSF and DoE)

  • Dr. Tom Goreau (Principal at the Global Coral Reef Alliance; senior editor of recent  book on Geotherapy, with considerable attention to biochar)
